Centre Assistant
Here at Northampton Active, we have a unique and rewarding opportunity for people who want to get into the Outdoor Activity environment, along with Hospitality & Conferencing. In recent years, we have expanded from providing White Water & Flat Water Activities, to our award winning Kid’s Holiday Clubs and HAF program. As a centre assistant you will have a well rounded role where you will be involved within all of the day to day running of the centre but also the activities and events the centre has to offer to the public. Below are some of the areas that the centre offer:
Activities – White Water Rafting & Tubing, Paddlesport including Mega Paddleboard, High Ropes, Soft Archery.
Events – Conferencing & Functions (e.g. Birthday Parties, Special Events).
Behind the scenes work – Administration, Centre Operations.
Hours of Work: Casual Hours as when required, Weekdays and Weekends
Remuneration: £ Competitive

Whitewater Roles
At the home of the first artificially pumped White Water Course in Northampton, we offer the below activities to the general public, these can be for thrill seekers, birthday surprises or Stag/Hen parties. With our in house qualifications, you can join our experienced team in providing a fun filled session.
Whitewater Tubing
Our Tubing training gives you all the tools you need to deliver our tubing sessions, sending people down our artificial Whitewater course for an enjoyable ride in an inflatable tubes.
This is an inhouse qualification and cannot be transferred to another location as such the course is free of charge. However, it does provide you with valuable skills such as: Rescues, Wading, Group Control.
Whitewater Rafting
This will teach you the commands and techniques to safely guide a group down our course and allow you to work at the centre as a raft guide. Our In-House Rafting training gives you all the tools you need to deliver our rafting sessions, sending people down our artificial Whitewater course for an enjoyable ride in a white-water raft.
This is an inhouse qualification and cannot be transferred to another location as such the course is free of charge. However, we would expect you to commit to the delivery of a number of sessions within the year.

Wetsuit
*We do recommend that after a period of time, that all staff start to wear their preferred equipment to separate from client attire.

These will be a mixture of theory and water based. Qualification will be achieved after an agreed amount of sessions are completed and candidate is assessed.
Price
Free of Charge, but you will be required to attend the requested dates, and commit to the training plan to gain qualification and then a set amount of sessions for the season.
